APRIL CABRERA first realized her passion for dance and artistic expression at the age of three.
During her early childhood years she participated in numerous activities such as, DANCE THEATER WEST
a semi-professional dance company and studied all forms of dance. but felt true love for Jazz/Hip Hop.
She also attended UCSB where is had a dance/cheer scholarship and went on to study dance in Los Angeles.
As her love for self-expression flourished, she added dance to her many activities by joining the
LA Laker Girls and the Sacramento Kings Royal Court Dance Team. It was at this time, she began to
view dance as a positive and motivating vehicle for change and creativity. She then pursued her fitness
career to go on and win Ms. Fitness Bay Area 1994. After graduating from Sacramento State University,
April went on to direct the Sacramento Kings Royal Court Dance team for five years.
Upon having two children, April found teaching dance classes and personal training full-filled her days. Over the years
she has utilized many different types of dance in bringing hip-hop to well-known gyms, respected dance
studios and public schools. She has taught all over Sacramento including 16 years at Broadway Academy,
Sacramento Kings, San Francisco 49ers, the San Diego Chargers and the United Spirit Association (USA).
In 2002, April started Dance Express at the Natomas Park Club house where she started with 10 students
that grew to 150 by 2005.
It is her desire to establish a dance studio that accommodates the youth,
technically trained dancers, and artists who wish to train and perform in a space where there are no
boundaries on creativity.
April has just won Ms. Fitness Oakland 2006, Ms. Figure Oakland 2006 and she has been named the overall
winner in the Silver & Black Ms. Fitness competition for 2006. She is currently training to compete for
Ms. California.

CAROLYN COLINARES-WOO is a mother to three beautiful boys and a wonderfully supportive husband.
Before beginning a career within the fitness industry, Carolyn had always led an active lifestyle and commits her family to the same. The gym, however, always seemed a chore for Carolyn until April 2008, when a friend invited her to attend a fitness class with her. The class was Zumba - a format that was rapidly taking over the fitness world. Truly an "exercise in disguise", after the first class, Carolyn was hooked. A few months later, she became certified to teach the format and by October 2008, she was teaching her own classes.
Carolyn currently holds certifications in Group Fitness through AFAA, Sole Synthesis - Balletone, Zumba, and Zumba Gold.

| MIKEE JOAQUIN's dance life began at the age of 16 with a group of local breakdancers in high school. Although he didn’t take it seriously until after graduating, learning new ways to move in the musical laboratory that was his friend’s garage sparked a love for the art that would span the rest of his life. His parents would often come upon him late at night trying to learn new moves off of youtube videos. As soon as he graduated high school, he took as many classes as he could get his hands on, and began to understand his basics. Soon after he was recruited to his first dance crew, Asian Image, which went on to do a short stint of performances and entered a big competition in the bay area. Soon after the group dissolved and Mikee auditioned for Press P.L.A.Y., a new up and coming group at the time. Joe Larot of the Jabbawockeez along with Mikee’s other lifelong mentors Brandon Greathouse and Jason Magsuci directed the group. Mikee trained and grew with Press P.L.A.Y. over the next 5 years while still balancing work, friends, family, and being a full time student. During this time he also trained with the group Boogie Monstarz which was founded by Phil Tayag of the Jabbawockeez, and 2nd Nature Crew, a freestyle collective made up of some of the most talented dancers in the Sac area. Currently Mikee still dances for Press P.L.A.Y., 2nd Nature, and Jedi Assassinz Crew, and was just recently signed to the BLOC talent agency in Hollywood. He has been featured on Good Day Sacramento, an E-40 music video, and even acted as an extra in the Deon Taylor production, Nite Tales. Still a resident of Sacremento, he constantly pushes himself to grow and learn in all styles of dance and give back to the community through the classes he teaches.
